Don’t have time to make a fancy cheesecake or strawberry shortcake for dessert? Make this instead. It’s easy and it’s delicious. I can’t believe I haven’t posted this previously, as I’ve been making this since I was in high school, which is almost 40 years ago now. The original recipe was from an old Sunset magazine.
Strawberry Cheesecake Dip
INGREDIENTS
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened—don’t bother with any other brand than Philadelphia Cream Cheese—the block, not the whipped stuff in a tub
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- Strawberries for dipping, of course
DIRECTIONS
- DON’T USE CREAM CHEESE DIRECTLY FROM THE REFRIGERATOR! The cream cheese must be softened to room temperature for this recipe to work.
- Put all ingredients in the bowl of an electric mixer and whip until smooth! That’s it!
Serve and share! Thanks for stopping by my kitchen today; sorry I made you wait for this! 🙂
