Strawberry Cheesecake Dip

Don’t have time to make a fancy cheesecake or strawberry shortcake for dessert? Make this instead. It’s easy and it’s delicious. I can’t believe I haven’t posted this previously, as I’ve been making this since I was in high school, which is almost 40 years ago now. The original recipe was from an old Sunset magazine.

Strawberry Cheesecake Dip

INGREDIENTS

  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened—don’t bother with any other brand than Philadelphia Cream Cheese—the block, not the whipped stuff in a tub
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • Strawberries for dipping, of course

DIRECTIONS

  1. DON’T USE CREAM CHEESE DIRECTLY FROM THE REFRIGERATOR! The cream cheese must be softened to room temperature for this recipe to work.
  2. Put all ingredients in the bowl of an electric mixer and whip until smooth! That’s it!

Serve and share! Thanks for stopping by my kitchen today; sorry I made you wait for this! 🙂
